When you give to the Roseland Lighthouse of Chicago, NFP, you will support a community development corporation that seeks to empower families in the Roseland community of Chicago.  The demographics for the community according to the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau Statistics reflect the per capita income for residents of Roseland was $17,974 compared to $27,148 for Chicago residents overall.

As part of the Roseland Lighthouse of Chicago, NFP, The House of Faith will provide case management, mentoring, social supports and spiritual guidance which will enable the youngmen and women to become productive members of their communities. The targeted population of young adults aged 18-24 reflects an overlap between adolescence and adulthood, thereby necessitating the need for more social support. The research by the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless indicates that there were 12,186 youth between the ages of 14-21 who were homeless by the end June 2014.

We are seeking funding to assist with The Lighthouse’s programming as well as practical needs for the young men and women. We appreciate your consideration as we attempt to empower young men and women in the Roseland community of Chicago.
